by C Coiro
I needed something that could handle daily use, keep my two cameras safe while hiking with the kids and their friends, but not break the bank. This C Coiro Camera Harness seemed like just the ticket. After almost a month of regular use, I've gotta say, it's been a game-changer. My old setup was always slipping around, but this one stays put, no matter how much we're scrambling over rocks or through bushes. The leather is sturdy yet comfortable against my shoulders, and the padding means no more red marks after a long day out. I love that I can easily access both cameras without taking off the whole harness. It's made switching between shots of the kids playing and trying to capture that perfect landscape shot so much quicker.
Used it on a wedding shoot for about 12 hours. Makes lugging cameras around easy, though if you’re old and frail like me your back will start hurting, but that doesn’t seem to be the harness’s fault. The hooks are beefy and seem sturdy. The backup safety straps are a good and thick leather that adds peace of mind when you have more than a few thousand dollars of camera gear flopping around your sides. Would recommend getting this strap.
I've used several different neck straps, sling straps, hand and wrist straps throughout the years. Some have been cloth, others neoprene and even leather too. Then I stopped using neck straps altogether the moment I purchased my first digital slr almost twenty years ago, opting instead for a hand strap once again. But nothing at all has been nearly as comfortable as this Coiro dual harness leather strap. I now have some pretty serious neck and back issues and at this point could not even wear a
I love this harness. I use it for my Nikon Zf and Z8, and I typically have pretty large lenses (24-70 and 70-200) in addition to a flash. The cameras get heavy and this distributes weight really well! Also looks so cool on and the quality is really nice.
First I will say what is good: this is made from good quality leather and sturdy metal buckles and connection rings. While it is designed for carrying two cameras, I use it for a heavy setup including a Nikon Z6II camera body and Nikkor mirrorless 200-600 zoom lens (a beast of a rig, weighing about 7 pounds). I connect both straps, one on the camera body and one on the lens itself using the included D-rings connectors. Holds rig well enough to carry hands-free. And it takes the pressure off
As a photographer I can tell this is a great tool to improve your work flow. Specially when you using two cameras, in my case r6mii with 24-70 and the r8 with 70-200. I didn’t feel tired of carrying my gear at all.
