Our Experience

The price made me hesitant, but after three weeks with the Canon EOS R5, I've found it's worth every penny. Initially, I was worried about the weight and size, having used compact mirrorless cameras before. However, once I got my hands on the R5, I realized its robust build quality and larger form factor actually make it more comfortable to hold and shoot with for prolonged periods.

The standout feature for me has been the autofocus system - it's simply remarkable. The Eye Detection AF works like a charm, tracking subjects seamlessly even in complex scenes. My minor critique, however, is the battery life. While it's improved compared to previous models, it still doesn't last as long as I'd like when shooting 4K video or burst mode photography. Overall, though, the R5 delivers stunning image quality and performance that justifies its premium price tag.
