I was skeptical at first when I bought the Canon EOS R8. As an experienced photographer but new to mirrorless cameras, I wasn't sure how it would compare to my trusty DSLR. But after three weeks of testing, I'm impressed. The auto-focus is lightning-fast and precise, even in low light - a game-changer for capturing my active kids.

However, the fully articulating screen took some getting used to; it's a bit stiff compared to other cameras I've handled. Once you're familiar with it though, it's great for creative angles. Overall, despite my initial doubts, the R8 has proven itself as a powerful and versatile addition to my camera collection.
