Compared to pricier options, Carmen Sandiego's Great Chase Through Time offered a decent bang for my buck at $79.97. I've been playing with it for three weeks now and here are my thoughts.

The game's premise is engaging; traveling through time to catch Carmen was a fun concept that kept me hooked. The graphics were smooth, and I appreciated the varied landscapes from ancient Egypt to futuristic cities. My favorite part was the interactive mini-games, like solving puzzles in the Colosseum or deciphering codes at Area 51.

However, the game could use more challenging puzzles towards the end. While it started off engaging my strategic thinking, by week three I found myself breezing through them with ease. Overall, though, for the price, Carmen Sandiego's Great Chase Through Time was an entertaining way to spend my evenings. It's not perfect, but it's worth considering if you're looking for a fun, affordable adventure game.
