I've had this charger for less than 2 months and it started SMOKING and the metal piece that sits in the computer broke off from the melted plastic. The charger I had before this one lasted 2 years. My computer restarted; it's my work computer. Could have really messed it up.UPDATE: it DID mess up my computer. Whole motherboard has to be replaced because it melted the charging port and both don't work now. Two days later and it still smells like burning plastic.
It’s easy to put together the bigger and thicker cord to the other piece and it is heat resistant for sure. It seems to be very durable as well and it charges long too.
