Our Experience

My friend who's into photography swore by this lens, so when I decided to dip my toes into portraiture, I knew I had to try it. The EF 85mm f1.8 is a breeze to use - it's lightweight and focuses smoothly, which really helps me enjoy the manual focus experience without too much struggle.

After almost a month of using it, I'm blown away by how sharp my portraits turn out. The bokeh effect is gorgeous, making my subjects stand out beautifully against blurred backgrounds.



However, as a beginner, I sometimes find it a tad challenging to nail the focus on the eyes quickly, especially when shooting moving subjects or kids who won't stay still. But hey, practice makes perfect, right? Overall, I'm really pleased with this lens - it's an excellent starting point for anyone looking to improve their portrait game without breaking the bank.



P.S. The price tag was another selling point for me - it's incredibly affordable considering the quality you get!
