I finally decided to try Kirby Air Riders after months of seeing my nephew rave about it. I mean, who could resist those adorable Kirby graphics and the promise of high-speed fun? Plus, I'd been craving a new Switch game that wasn't just another puzzle or platformer. After unboxing and setting up, I was pleasantly surprised by how intuitive the controls were. As someone who's not usually into racing games, I found myself picking it up pretty quickly. The Charge, Boost, and Spin mechanics felt natural, and I loved how the Boost Charge button added an extra layer of control. One thing that really stood out to me was the variety in riders. Kirby is cute and all, but once you unlock Meta Knight or Adeleine, you realize just how much each rider's stats can change up your gameplay.
Pros:🌠 Fun, chaotic, great for any age!🌠 Easy controls, no forward tilt to drive. The tutorial is in-depth, so you'll learn all the mechanics within 15-30 minutes.🌠 Single-player mode called Road Trip (choose your difficulty), different paths, different mini games, boss fights, and story progression. Even if friends can't play with you, or you don't want to play online... This solo mode is full of unique experiences, and you can avoid boredom by choosing between 3 options to progress in the game
Amazing! Loved the original game and this has the same vibe with amazing game play. Enough new stuff to keep old returnees on their toes but also so many returning things that are fun to see. We play it as adults and with our younger kids. Perfect for all ages and single or multiplayer
Controls are simple and snappy. Lots to unlock and and a lot of variety. Tons of customization and side content. Great online functionality. One of my favorites this year for sure!
This is one of the absolute best racing/hybrid titles that I’ve ever played, on any console (and I’ve been playing since the NES era)This game made the GameCube one look so inferior (and I love that game) but my gosh, they outdid themselves with this title, Sakurai is a genius dev that’s been sucked dry from making smash bros after smash bro. He created Kirby, smash bros, and many systems we love and play today on many different games. This was a game he developed during his retirement and it’s
Great buy for game lovers.
