The price made me hesitant but I was pleasantly surprised by these MAXELL UR120 tapes. After hearing mixed reviews about their sound quality, I bought them mainly for nostalgia and didn't expect much. I popped one in my old cassette player after a week, and to my surprise, the audio was clear with minimal hiss – better than some of the more expensive brands I've tried in the past. However, I noticed that the tape started to degrade slightly faster than I'd hoped; by day five, it began to sound a bit scratchy, though still usable. Overall, for the price and brief nostalgia trip, they're decent tapes that won't break the bank.
