Took me a while to decide, but I finally grabbed the NEEWER Action Camera Cage for my new Osmo Action 5 Pro. I'd been wanting something robust to protect my pricey camera during hikes and bike rides without restricting access to its ports. First off, this cage is a solid little beast! It arrived promptly, packaging intact, and setup was a breeze – just slide in the camera, no assembly required. That's a big plus for me, 'cause I'm not exactly Mr. Patience when it comes to fiddly bits! I've been using it for three weeks now, and two things have really stood out: 1. Great weight. I love how well it functions and snaps closed. I have dropped my camera many times and was so glad to have this on. The design is perfect for all my needs. I can mount magnet lights and other accessories. Easy access to battery swaps! And sd card! Well made perfect fit! Neewer never lets me down! It is a little heavy but that’s ok for my needs.
Really nice cage and really well made.Solid aluminum!!!Holds the camera very securely and there is a lot of confidence with the cage and I have no doubts it will be protective if anything happens.Love the fit and finish of this cage.Everything works as it’s advertised and I would definitely buy another one in a heart beat if I got an additional camera.
Neewer is a awesome company that provides quality products with great value. I have purchased many of their products in the past & couldn't pass up getting a cool looking metal cage for my DJI Osmo 5 Action camera for the price. The metallic gray color is very nice which gives it a nice contrast when the camera is inside & better looking than the stock black cage that came with my camera. The spring latch quick release door on the cage is convenient to open for easy access to change the battery
Definitely worth the money, but has a few things I’d have liked to see done differently. I would highly recommend this over some others and possibly over the DJI one as well. The all aluminum construction is nice, it is a really snug fit so if the cage door opens the camera won’t just slide out. It actually requires you to push it out. The color is not as dark as it looks on here, a lighter gunmetal gray color. Now on to why I can’t give it a solid 5 stars.1. The release for the door feels way t
