Our Experience
The price of NVIDIA's Jetson AGX Orin 64GB Developer Kit gave me pause, but I took the plunge because my deep learning projects were grinding to a halt on my old setup. After unboxing, I was impressed by its compact size and plethora of connectors - it's like a mini powerhouse. Using it for two weeks has been an eye-opener. Firstly, the ease with which it handles concurrent AI applications is fantastic. I could work on multiple projects simultaneously without any noticeable lag. Secondly, the NVIDIA AI software stack coupled with use-case specific frameworks has saved me countless hours of coding. The Isaac framework for robotics, in particular, has been a game-changer. However, there's one minor thing to consider - setting up the board can be tricky if you're not familiar with Linux or command line interfaces.

I have been using this for a week now, and I love this device. It is a little slower than a proper GPU, but having this much memory available is what makes it good. Definitely add an NVMe drive. The 64 gigs of storage will disappear fast. This is a dev kit, so expect to spend a lot of time learning the tool set and make sure you use the torch versions from Nvidea. All I can say is that this tiny cube truly satisfies my needs.Of courxe, it may not be strong enough for your needs, but if, like me, you are doing deep experimentation on machine reading, this one satisfies.
The product is completely unusable as a standalone device. I booted it up once and went through the startup wizard with no problems and was browsing the features the first day I got it. When I was done, I powered it down and walked away. The next time I booted it up it started flashing serial code and then shut off again. This happened several times. From what I've seen, this indicates you need to flash a new version of the OS onto the computer from a second Linux computer, yet this is no where

It's not completely clear how to go about upgrading it to the latest (you use the software developer kit that is a download from Nvidia, with both a USB connection and Ethernet connection to the computer running the SDK).
