Our Experience
The specs caught my attention because they promised a leap forward in picture quality thanks to Mini LED technology and AI-powered upscaling. After three weeks of testing the Samsung 65" Neo QLED TV, I must say the image is indeed impressive. The concentrated zones of precision-controlled Mini LEDs create remarkable contrast, revealing details that I hadn't noticed before even in well-known scenes from my movie collection.
My research process involved comparing it with my previous LED TV and a comparable OLED model. While the Samsung didn't quite match the deep blacks of the OLED, it came close and offered superior brightness, making highlights pop more than I've seen on any other TV. The AI- upscaling also worked exceptionally well, even handling standard definition content remarkably.
One specific feature that truly stood out was the 'Object Tracking Sound+' (OTS+).

We haven't had a new TV in close to 20 years and were very overwhelmed by all the choices. After a lot of research and reviews, we settled on this one. The picture is so clear and the sound is amazing. Our room has a lot of windows and we were worried about reflection but it is perfect even in full daylight. The colors are phenomenal. I highly recommend this TV.

Unfortunately, I had to return the TV due to bad HMDI inputs. The TV would default to 720p resolution. Unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in would sometimes get it to display in 4K, but after a few minutes the screen would flash, an “optimizing”message would be displayed, and then it would be back at 720p. I even bought an 8k cable to try.I packed it back up, Amazon would rather I returned it than fix it.I will note, using the built in apps on the TV worked at 4K and the picture wa
Great TV. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars for two reasons; first, it is missing the apps I use and have used on other TV’s. Check the app listing before you buy. The 2nd reason for a low score is because Samsung had the wrong size pedestal in the box. The TV I purchased is an 85” and the pedestal that came with the TV were for a 75” and of course did not fit.
