Upgraded from my old Bose, I was eager to see if Sony's ULT WEAR could live up to its hype. Noise canceling was my top priority - I work from home and have a kid who loves banging on pots (his new drum kit, apparently). So, when I spotted these headphones, I was sold. First off, the noise canceling is indeed impressive. It's not quite Bose-level, but it's close. The V1 processor does a great job of reducing background chatter and hums, making my conference calls much more tolerable. And the bass boost button? Game changer. A quick tap adds some serious oomph to my tunes, although I wish it wasn't quite so...boomy at times. Comfort is another winner with these headphones.

I brought these headphones to replace my cowin e7 headphones which cost a fraction of what these cost. You get what you pay for. These Sony ult headphones sound amazing! I’m a bass head I listen to lots of hip hop especially songs which I know has lots of low end bass to them. This headset handles it effortlessly. They sound pretty good out the box but once you mess with the eq and sound settings to your liking they are superb. I've tried out the sony mx5 side by side with these and these Honestly sound way better. You can basically eq the bass to nothing and turn it up if need to. It's got some really good sounding low end too. If you're debating these or mx5 id say get these. Cause i feel like mx5 kinda lacks the bass for certain genres but these got it all for everything. Great headphones. Not worth full price in my opinion, wait for the 50% off. I bought these because I wanted LOUD headphones. Sound is loud, significantly louder than “other” brands. However, my main concern is the connectivity. It suddenly loses connection , you have to manually turn off the headphones and reconnect it to your device. Can be annoying. Been using this headphone for over 6 months now. I’ll say as a successor to the XB series this one definitely is a level above. At Ult 2 mode, the increase in bass, even though it’s significant amount of bass, does not make the overall sound mushy or reduces the clarity that you hear when Ult is off. I like it, even heavy metal sounds good with Ult on. I’d say apart from sound, battery is the second most impressive point about this product. I easily get one entire week out of 5-6 hours use daily
