Tapo T100 communicates with the hub via the Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol, which provides extended battery life for the sensor and a wider coverage area compared to Wi-Fi. The Tapo Hub H100 can connect up to 64 sensors simultaneously and includes a 90dB ringer with 19 different ringing tones. The Tapo Hub also enables the use ofSmart Action for sensors and other Tapo devices even when the network is disconnected and is highly responsive.

As someone who's always juggling multiple tasks at home and work, I was tired of constantly toggling lights on and off. That's why I snapped up the TP-Link Tapo Motion Sensor. After a few weeks' use, here's my take: I love how it's taken over the grunt work of turning lights on and off when I'm carrying stuff in or out. It's got a wide detection range, picking up motion even from quite far away. Plus, its adjustable sensitivity means I can tweak it to suit different areas – no more false triggers! The compact size made installation a breeze too. I've got one by the front door and another in my home office, and they're barely noticeable. The only minor hiccup is that you need the Tapo Hub for it to work, which adds an extra cost.

I just got the hub with the tapo door/window sensor. I'm not a tech savvy person so I did have a bit of trouble pairing the device. But once I got it set up it worked exactly as expected. The app is very easy to use. Keeps a log of when ny door was opened and shut. I set up notifications and i do get alerts on my cell phone when the door is open. I set the hub to alarm when the door is opened but you can customize when or if you want alarm to sound when your door or window is opened. I agree wit
I got one of these to automate a pair of Tapo L535 lights in our loft/office space and it works absolutely fantastic for it. You can adjust the sensitivity for motion (which seems to use a combination of distance sensing as well as actual motion), and the base that's attached to it is magnetic so you can slap it out of anything metal right out of the box (in my case I put it on a filing cabinet).
