I've tried a few scanners in my time, but the Uniden BCD996P2 really stepped up my listening game. It's got this crazy amount of dynamically allocated channels - 25k! That's nuts. I've been tracking local fire and police frequencies with ease, even picking up some rare ones I'd never heard before.

The display could use a little more contrast though, especially in daylight. But hey, it's not deal-breaker. Overall, this thing is a beast, and if you're into scanning like I am, it's totally worth the investment.
