The specs caught my attention because WD_BLACK SN7100 promised sequential read/write speeds of up to 7250/6900 MB/s respectively - quite a leap from my current SATA SSD. After a week's use, I'm impressed with its performance during large file transfers and gaming load times. My research on real-world benchmarks was accurate; it indeed delivered these high speeds consistently.

One thing I particularly liked is the included heat spreader. As an NVMe enthusiast, I appreciate that WD made sure to address potential throttling issues without compromising aesthetics. It's a neat touch that didn't add any bulk or affect installation in my M.2 slot.

My minor critique would be the lack of DRAM cache. While it doesn't seem to impact performance significantly for my use case, power users might notice slight differences in random read/write speeds compared to other 2TB NVMe SSDs with larger caches. Overall, though, the WD_BLACK SN7100 lives up to its billing and is an excellent upgrade from SATA drives.
