I was skeptical at first when I bought the HyperX Cloud Alpha gaming headset. I mean, it seemed too good to be true - high-end sound quality, durability, and comfort for under sixty bucks? I'd been burned by cheaper headsets before that promised much but delivered little. But two weeks in, I'm happy to say the Cloud Alpha has proven me wrong. My main concern was sound distortion at higher volumes, as I often crank up the tunes while gaming. But these babies handled it like a pro. The dual chamber drivers really do make a difference - the bass is punchy without bleeding into the mid and high tones. I love how comfortable they are too. After hours of use, my ears barely feel a thing, thanks to those plush, leatherette ear cups and the light-as-air aluminum frame.

Short of plugging these into a HyperX Quadcast mic, I doubt you'll find a much better setup for gaming....especially at this price point. The sound quality is amazing for headphones in any context and the earcups are very very comfy. Let me just start this off by saying I never leave reviews. I'm not very easily impressed. I usually buy something, receive it, and carry on with my day. However, I've had these for over two years now, and it only just recently dawned on me how much of an anomaly this headset has been compared to others I've had in the past. In the hundreds, if not thousands of hours I've used this headset for, not once has it ever consciously occurred to me that they're being worn while in use. You slap them on
I love these headphones. They are so comfortable and feel expensive. The sound is great, the microphone is good, and I love the volume control with the mute button. My only complaint is that with daily use, these headsets always seem to only last a year before the sound in one ear goes out. Overall, these are very much worth it for me!
