After years of stuffing my camera filters into random pockets and bags, I finally caved and bought the Tiffen 4BLTPCHLGK filter pouch. My photography buddy, Matt, had been raving about it for ages, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I've got a collection of filters ranging from 62mm to 82mm, and carrying them around was becoming a nightmare - they'd rattle around in my bag like loose change, and god forbid if it rained! So, I figured investing in a proper pouch would keep them safe and easily accessible. I've been using the Tiffen pouch for about three weeks now, and it's been a game-changer. The padded, water-resistant nylon has kept my filters snug and dry even during that unexpected downpour at the lake last weekend.
I'm currently using this to hold 3 filters I recently purchased for an upcoming trip and have been dragging it around NYC and surrounds on test runs in the meantime. I've seen a bunch of negative reviews regarding the open edges, etc. and while, yes, they are open, I would argue that the downside of this really depends on where you store it and how you use it. Mine lives in a closed off pouch of a Lowepro bag and, so far, the pocketing has been a non-issue. In top of that, the filters sit very d
I have gotten to a point, where I had several lens filters floating around in my camera bag. I decided it was time to get rid of all of the plastic cases, that were taking up so much room in my bag, and finally by a lens specific case. This case is perfect for what I'll be using it for, and that is as a carrier for all of my extra lens filters in my camera bag. I'm not sure how well it would do outside of the bag, however for the price is well worth the money and if you take care of it seems like
Great pouch for 58mm filters. I needed a pouch for 4 filters and I didn't want a long folding type pouch and this was the first one that looked to fit my needs for the price. It is a tad bit bulky but it holds all 4 filters without any issues. The inside is nylon so scratch protection may be hit or miss, but I'm not carrying any high-end filters so I', not too worried. For high-end filters I would stick with separate hard cases or maybe a higher end pouch with soft lining or something like that.T
As the number of neutral density and polarizing filters and step up/down rings grows, I find myself needing more space for these. This is an excellent add-on to any camera bag or backpack, I personally keep it attached to one of my shoulder straps for quick access without having to remove the backpack. It has four compartments, each of which can hold one filter and one step up ring. Each compartment is very well padded, providing sufficient protection for your filters. The size is sufficient to a
Good lightweight filter holder, although it may end up scratching the filters over time because the dividers are stiff.
