Took me a while to decide on an antivirus software, but I finally settled on Webroot's Internet Security Complete after hearing good things about its speed and efficiency. I'm glad I did - it was incredibly easy to set up and didn't slow down my computer at all, even during full system scans. It's been running smoothly for the past two weeks now.
