Our Experience

The specs of the GL.iNet GL-MT6000 caught my attention due to its dual 2.5G Ethernet ports and WiFi 6 capabilities. I've been using it for two weeks now in my home office setup, and I must say, the router's throughput is impressive. With my 1 Gbps internet connection, I consistently achieved near-max speeds across both Ethernet ports and WiFi, which is a significant improvement over my previous router.

One specific feature I liked was the built-in VPN server functionality. As someone who frequently works remotely and values privacy, being able to set up a WireGuard VPN server directly on the router was a pleasant surprise. It worked seamlessly with my Linux-based clients, providing secure remote access without relying on third-party services.

However, one minor critique would be the web interface's layout. While it's functional and offers plenty of customization options, it could benefit from some reorganization for better user flow. Some settings are buried within submenus that aren't immediately apparent. Overall, though, the GL-MT6000 has proven to be a reliable and powerful addition to my network setup.
